Maria Camila Arbeláez Solano, BA
Research Coordinator
Maria Camila Arbeláez Solano (she/her) joined the CIRCLE Lab as a research coordinator for the Doula-Thrive study in November 2024. She brings a background in perinatal case management, doula work, and advocacy with refugees, immigrants, and low-income parents to her role in IPV research.
Camila earned her degree in Ethnic Studies from Brown University and is deeply committed to reproductive justice and culturally affirming care. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, she has made Crescent, PA her home for many years.
She is multilingual—fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and conversational in French, Hindi/Urdu, and Dari Persian—languages she has learned to foster connection, solidarity, and deeper understanding across the communities she works and organizes with.
Outside of work, Camila finds joy in art, nature, and time with loved ones, and is always eager to keep learning.
